Tux
Tux’s story began on a cold October night, on the side of a deserted highway between Zalău and Cluj. Tux stood motionless in the headlights, as if awaiting his inevitable fate. His rescue came at the very last second, when a kind-hearted woman stopped time for him. But Tux wasn’t alone; out of the night’s fog, two devoted sisters immediately appeared to protect him.
On their way to the emergency room, all three were silent, so still that you wondered if they were still alive. But the real struggle, as we were about to find out, was just beginning. For Tux, the diagnosis of panleukopenia hit the hardest. Tux spent weeks in the metal cage, fighting on the edge of life and death. But he defeated the disease with a strength that amazed us all, and his sisters, Patch and Dot—who were also affected—stood by his side the whole time.
Today, Tux is the very definition of elegance and good taste. He is a well-mannered “Tuxedo boy,” a true gentleman sporting a mustache and beard that look as if they were painted by Dalí’s brush. Half of his face is a symmetrical work of art, and on his back he wears a hero’s “cape” that flows fluidly, reminding us that he has defeated time and death twice. Tux is the protector of the group, a polite little cat who knows how to listen and offer unconditional love.
Although his heart will always be tied to that of his sisters, Patch and Dot—with whom he would form a complete family—Tux can also be adopted on his own by a family that will cherish his noble nature and provide him with a home as distinguished as his personality.
