Tortellini’s story gets off to a rougher start than such a tiny kitten deserves. He was found at just 4 weeks old next to his mother, who, sadly, was no longer alive. Since then, however, his life has been filled with people who have tried to be his family.

He was adopted by a woman who loved him dearly, but who, for personal health reasons, could no longer keep him. So Tortellini is once again looking for a place to call home… this time, forever.

The good news: Tortellini is a perfectly healthy kitten. He’s up to date on all his vaccinations, has been dewormed, and tested negative for FIV.

And now for what truly defines him: his incredible energy and curiosity. Although you might think a kitten who’s been through so much would be shy, Tortellini is exactly the opposite. He wants to meet new people, explore every nook and cranny, and make friends with any kitten willing to join in a game.

Even though he’s mostly been raised on his own, he adapts surprisingly quickly to other kittens and always seems excited to have a playmate. For this reason, we think he’d be a great fit for a home that already has a kitten to help him burn off his energy.

When he has too much pent-up energy, Tortellini sometimes jumps up at people’s legs—not because he wants to attack, but because in his mind it’s just an invitation to play. That’s exactly why, when it comes to very young children, we don’t know exactly how the interaction would play out, but with the right encouragement, he can become a wonderful playmate.

But there’s one thing that melts our hearts every time: Tortellini gets very attached to his people. If you’ve ever dreamed of having a little “assistant” who follows you around the house wherever you go, then he’s the perfect candidate. He’s super curious, always in on everything that’s going on, and—surprisingly for a kitten—he seems a little braver around water than most cats.

For the less pleasant tasks (like cutting your nails), he has a simple philosophy: one nail cut plus a little Churu equals life is wonderful again.

All he needs now is a family that will never let him leave again.
