Website terms and conditions of use
The terms and conditions outline how the website is to be used, being relevant for donors, fundraising organisers, volunteers, and partner organisations, and what we require from those who use it.
The key points regarding the website’s operation included in this document are:
- Online donations – This website facilitates the collection of online donations on behalf of partner organisations, using online payment processors with which those organisations already have contracts. Since this site uses the organisation’s payment processor, any issues related to payments (confirmation, refund) should be directed to the organisation you donated to. On each organisation’s page, you will find a contact link at the top containing the organisation’s details.
- Protecting your data is very important to us. Detailed information about our data protection policy and your rights regarding the processing of personal data is available HERE.
- Creating a fundraising page on the site – You can organise a fundraiser using one of the microsites dedicated to fundraising campaigns available on this website. Links are available on the homepage, or you may contact one of the beneficiary causes listed on the site to receive assistance.
General Framework. Ownership Rights
This website and all related services are owned and managed by the Site Administrator. These terms and conditions define how you may use this website and its associated services. Please read this document carefully. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, you will not be able to access or use this website and its services.
These terms and conditions may change over time depending on modifications to the website’s operation, applicable legislation, or any other reason deemed by us to justify such changes. It is your responsibility to access and review this document when visiting the website. The latest version of this document will define the terms of use from its publication date until the next update.
The entire content of this website is protected under Law no. 8/1996 on copyright and related rights (hereinafter referred to as the Copyright Law), with all rights reserved.
Non-governmental organisations, causes, and projects featured on the portal
By using this website and its associated services, you can donate to or organise fundraising campaigns for one or more of the partner organisations and causes. Each partner organisation has a Partnership Agreement or Contract with the Site Administrator that defines the terms under which the website assists the organisation in its fundraising efforts.
The responsibility for the accuracy of information about the organisation, projects, and fundraising pages lies with the partner organisation. It must hold all necessary approvals and licences to carry out its activities in accordance with current legislation and have the consent of volunteer campaign organisers and donors for processing their personal data and publishing their information on the website.
Online Donations
Donations received through this website and its associated services are processed via online card payments, using a payment processor contracted by the partner organisation. Payments are secured according to international data security and confidentiality protocols. Card data is processed on a secure page of the payment processor. The terms and conditions for using the payment processing system are found on the processor’s website. The Association does not assume responsibility for transactions made through the payment processor used by partner organisations. Donations are subject to a separate agreement between the organisation and the payment processor.
Use of Donations
The Site Administrator will pre-select organisations and allow only those meeting our minimum conditions to register on the website.
The Site Administrator cannot be held responsible for how organisations choose to spend the donations received through this website and its services.
The Site Administrator may remove an organisation from the project if we identify or are alerted by donors or volunteer fundraisers of any abuse in this regard.
After a donation is made, any refund request must be addressed directly to the beneficiary organisation and relates solely to the relationship between the organisation and the donor. The Site Administrator cannot process refunds, as donations are sent directly to the beneficiary organisations.
Supporting the site and services or payment processing fees by donors
This site may implement various support methods depending on the specific services offered. These will be shown in the donation forms on the site or related services, will be optional, and will be presented clearly and transparently:
Optional support of the site and services offered by allocating a percentage of the donation. The amount ranges between 0 and 5% of the donation total, with the option to select zero. Donations received will be used by the Site Administrator for maintaining and developing the website and related activities aimed at promoting fundraising culture in Romania, including but not limited to:
- organising seminars and conferences on fundraising topics;
- organising training courses for organisations;
- running campaigns to promote civic engagement through the role of supporter.
Optional support by the donor of payment processing fees
The value of the fees will be added to the initially selected donation amount so that the full intended sum reaches the supported organisation.
Unauthorised use of debit or credit cards
When a donation is made via this site and its services, it results in a card transaction that is final and non-disputable, unless it is proven that the debit or credit card was used without the consent of the rightful owner. In such cases, if your card was used without authorisation, or if it was lost or stolen, you must notify your issuing bank and follow its procedures.
Links
This site and its services contain links to partner organisations’ websites, their projects, and other links they consider relevant in describing their projects or managing their page content.
The inclusion of such links does not imply endorsement by the Site Administrator of the content or views expressed on those websites.
Modifications to the site
The Site Administrator strives to ensure uninterrupted access, but reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any part of the website or services without prior notice, when deemed necessary. No justification is required, and no compensation shall be owed to any organisation, donor, or interested party for damages or missed benefits due to downtime. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, all new features added to the site will fall under these terms and conditions.
Violation of terms and conditions
If you breach any of the terms and conditions in this document, the Site Administrator reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend your access to any or all parts of the site and its services without prior notice.
Withdrawal from services
You may stop using this site and its services at any time. These terms and conditions will still apply to any prior use.
