Pisi
Some cats come into your house. Pisi goes straight to your heart.
At about 5 years old, this extraordinary little girl has endured hardships that few animals could have overcome. She was rescued in critical condition, fighting for her life, and today she is living proof that sometimes miracles have fur and purr.
Following investigations and surgery, an abdominal textileoma (surgical suture material left in the abdomen from a previous procedure) was discovered, which was considered the likely source of the chronic infection and sepsis. Due to a severe renal abscess and irreversible damage to the right kidney, it was surgically removed. During her hospitalization, Pisi received intensive care and two blood transfusions.
Currently, Pisi is blind and lives with only one kidney, but she doesn’t let those things define her. She has adapted wonderfully to life indoors; she navigates the house on her own and has no trouble finding her litter box, food bowls, and favorite sleeping spots. She lives each day with a confidence and serenity that are truly impressive.
She is one of the most affectionate cats I’ve ever met. She loves being around people, seeks out cuddles, comes over on her own for some pampering, and is happy when she can sleep close to her person. For her, love and security are the most important things in the world.
Due to the health issues she has experienced, she requires a special diet for kidney disease and regular veterinary checkups. At the moment, however, she is doing well, is in stable condition, has an excellent appetite, and enjoys a very good quality of life.
Pisi would be happiest in a quiet home where she can be pampered by her family. She can get along with calm and respectful animals, but she clearly prefers the company of people and their attention. If you’re looking for a gentle, grateful, and incredibly affectionate cat, Pisi might be the soulmate you’re searching for. After everything she’s been through, she deserves a place she can call “home” forever.
