Sushi
Sushi is a comfort-loving cat who went through a lot before finally leaving her troubles behind.
When we took her in from a crowded environment with 18 other souls, Sushi was neglected — suffering from ear mites and a constant fear that something bad might happen to her. With the help of her dedicated foster parents, she slowly learned to trust people again. At first, she spent much of her time under the bed or next to the closet, until she felt confident enough to explore the entire apartment.
Week by week, Sushi became more convinced that the people around her only wanted the best for her. Now, she allows them to pet her, delights in the sounds of her toys, and no longer flinches at noises from the outside. She is still uncomfortable around other animals, especially considering her previous environment, so we recommend that she either be the only pet in the home or live with companions who are just as calm and gentle as she is. Her future family should be ready to offer the patience and support she needs to continue building her courage.
She might accept children, as long as they understand that she needs her personal space and some quiet time every now and then. Sushi is eager to meet you, to show you how loudly she can purr and how relaxing it is to brush her soft, fluffy coat!
