Wanda
Wanda is the perfect example of an independent yet incredibly affectionate cat. While pregnant, she was brought to a veterinary clinic for sterilisation, but was abandoned there. We stepped in and took her in, but as she was very close to giving birth, we had no choice but to let her have her kittens.
And so, just like that, we suddenly had four more cats at our shelter. Wanda is a stunning cat, and as expected, her kittens inherited her beauty — three adorable little darlings who were quickly adopted into loving homes.
As is often the case, kittens are adopted far more easily than adult cats, so Wanda remained in our care, even years after we first took her in. It’s heartbreaking for us to see how little interest there is in adopting adult cats, especially when we have so many wonderful souls for whom adoption still feels like a distant dream.
With a very strong personality, Wanda didn’t adapt well to living with the other cats at the shelter, which is why we were overjoyed when we found her a forever home.
