Greta
Greta is not just a fighter, she is living proof that anything is possible through a great deal of collective effort.
Greta’s journey with us began in October 2023, when we found her in critical condition after being hit by a car. She immediately went into surgery and she needed specialized blood tests, X-rays, and a CT scan.
After surgery, little Greta’s problems did not go away, as she underwent many treatments, including surgical curettage to remove the abscess that had built up.
She kept us on the edge of our seats again and again, but our little warrior managed to wake up from anesthesia each time. Just when we thought the worst was behind us, she began having her first convulsions, which gave the vets quite a headache as they tried to determine the cause. Now stable and under preventive treatment, Greta is doing better than ever.
She is energetic; she likes chasing little balls, cuddling, and especially enjoys receiving wet food. Greta would not do well in an environment with dogs or young children, as the stress could trigger convulsions again. Other than that, she gets along well with other cats and she loves interacting with people.
Greta will be delighted to meet you, to purr softly on your couch, and to brighten your day with her gentle presence.
