Callie
Callie has a story that leaves you speechless. She was found among the discarded cats in the rubbish dump, discovered to have been stolen from a house in Cluj. Her owner searched in vain and now, when he found out what had happened to her, he could hardly believe his eyes…
In the meantime, he’s fostered several cats – including Callie’s brothers – and, with all the pain in his heart, he now wishes she could go to a family that will give her the attention and care she deserves.
On the night of her rescue, Callie – a shy, calico-furred beauty – hid under a garage, instinctively running away from any danger. She struggled to get out, and that moment was her first real chance at peace in a long time. She was dewormed internally and externally and, fortunately, did not need any further medical intervention. She is spayed and vaccinated.
Callie is around two years old, spectacularly coloured and adorably shy. When you open the cage door, she’s tiny, as if she wants to disappear, but her eyes look warily and curiously at the toys around her, asking, ‘Am I allowed to play?’ With patience and much kindness, Callie will learn to trust again and discover what it means to be safe and loved.
