Maddy

Maddy, Eva and Matthew are three little siblings who were found together and rescued by a lady who looked after them with great patience and love. They’ve been to the vet, have started their vaccination and worming programmes, and are now ready to take the next step: for each of them to find a family where they will be loved and protected for the rest of their lives.

Maddy is a gentle and cautious little girl who prefers to watch first and only pluck up the courage afterwards. She loves to play and follows everything going on around her with great interest, especially when her brothers set off on adventures, but commotion and sudden movements can frighten her.

The first few months weren’t exactly easy for her. Maddy had serious problems with one of her eyes and underwent a long course of treatment, and these experiences made her more reserved in her interactions with people. She was also separated from her siblings for a while, which contributed to her insecurity.

However, Maddy is making good progress. She hisses less and less, and when she feels safe, she’s already happy to be touched and stroked. She needs time, patience and someone who won’t ask her to trust them before she’s ready.

Maddy isn’t the sort of kitten who’ll jump straight into your arms. She’s, however, the sort of soul you get to know gradually, and every step she takes towards you is all the more precious. Behind her shyness lies a playful and curious little cat who just needs the chance to learn that people can also mean safety, kindness and love.

We’re looking for a patient family for Maddy, one who will respect her pace and give her the time she needs to flourish. ❤️
