It is often said that cats choose you, not the other way around. At least in our case, this is true. Almost two months ago, a fearful 6-month-old kitten accidentally entered a trap cage and ended up at the Green Cats association. He was very scared in his new situation and reacted vocally or by running away to any human interaction or interaction with other animals. Wanting to foster a kitten (in addition to our full-fledged 2-year-old feline resident), we took Alfred in to try to give him a quiet home where he could gain confidence in us and in his own paws. Gradually, after long hours of just sitting in his cage or under the bed, his playful nature and energetic torso began to emerge. And when the time came to promote him for adoption, we knew we couldn’t part with him. Snorri (his new name) is part of our family, and we are glad that he found us and chose us.

A wonderful organization made up of people with big hearts. Their care, dedication, and love for cats shine through in everything they do. Every cat they take in receives attention, care, and a real chance at a better life. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for all their hard work! I highly recommend them.

“Compassion without action is just observation.” The Green Cats team is a wonderful example of people who are fully involved and dedicated to animal rescue. It’s not enough to “feel bad” about an injured animal, if you truly want to help you need to get involved. Rescue, donate, foster, adopt – we can all help.

They were the only ones who helped me with advice, traps, veterinary treatment, etc. when I needed it. They put their heart and soul into every kitten they rescue. They are a handful of people who deserve more support from animal lovers. I am a Patreon subscriber and donate regularly whatever small amount I can, even 20-30 lei. I hope as many people as possible will do the same! Green Cats really does make the world a better place, one kitten at a time.

I wanted to write a review about my experience with the Green Cats association, but I’m not sure where to start. Should I start at the beginning, which was a long time ago? When I was a colleague and friend, I would say, with Ana, and I knew how hard she fought for cats that nobody wanted, I knew how she spent her nights bottle-feeding meowing and barking animals that others had thrown away in bags, I knew she was getting into debt because she couldn’t turn her back on those in need, and I know now that she is part of the reason why I no longer felt alone and crazy doing the same things because I saw someone else feeling the same way I did. Or I can continue with the Green Cats cats I know, not so long ago. With Minnie, whom I fostered because she couldn’t recover in the clinic environment after being abandoned and her test results were poor. Mineșoara, as I called her, will always be my little girl, even though she is now happy with her adoptive family, thanks to the association. Or let me tell you about Milo, whom I thought I would lose when he got sick. I had raised him and was trying to find him a family, a place for him, but the FCOV virus sometimes mutates, and Milo developed FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). I was going through a difficult time, so I had nowhere to keep him, nothing to treat him with, no way to collect donations, no way to keep him alive… Then a young lady intervened, took him from me, and he ended up in the care of Green Cats. Now I hear that he is healthy and happy and special, just as he always was, and he even has two parents. I can fast forward to the present, when whenever I have a cat or kitten that needs to be neutered and I can’t do it, they step in. Mitu, Cara, Zori, and Naila (for now) have not gone through the torment of heat, thanks to the Green Cats association; but what I want to mention here, and what I think is important, is that if we are helped when we cannot help ourselves, we help when we can in turn. I have 100 lei and I can put it in a box for Green Cats? Great. I have 50? Still great. I have 10 lei and I can send it? Just as great. 5 lei? Again, great. Because those 2, 5, 7, 12 lei are put together with others and go towards deworming, vaccines, treatments, and food. Let’s make the cats and Green Cats volunteers happy and get involved in their mission.

A team of 11. No matter how hard I try, I cannot view them as a mere association or NGO. As a volunteer, I learned. As a donor, I rejoiced in every small success and opportunity. As a foster parent, I had some remarkable experiences. As an adopter, I completed my family. As a person in need, I received help and advice. As a follower, I went through all kinds of emotions. No matter what your relationship with Green Cats is, you have everything to gain. Especially if you’re a cat.

There is no case that the Green Cats team will not try to solve. They deserve our full support in their mission to make the world a better place, one cat at a time.

I have nothing but praise for the entire Green Cats team, their constant help, and the hard fight they are putting up for kittens. I subscribe to their Patreon and see even more cute pictures of their cats, which makes me appreciate them even more. What a wonderful initiative!

Amazing team that go over and beyond to rescue end to end cats (capturing, medical vet care, foster and adoption process). I adopted two old cats from them. Unfortunately, one of them didn’t live very long (I knew he had serious health problems), but they supported me during his treatment. The second one is fine, healthy, and although it’s been three years since I adopted him, I know that the people at Green Cats are always happy to hear about him. I send them pictures of him, and they are always there to give me advice for his well-being. And when it comes to neutering stray cats, they have always been available to help me with an appointment.

Nala is the first cat I had in Foster. I really had a very good experience with the Green Cats association. They provided me everything I needed to welcome Nala. This little black kitten is really cute. I was happy to be able to offer shelter and much love to Nala, temporarily until his adoption. Nala brought me good company, lots of hugs and purrs. It was my pleasure to take many photos for the promotion of Nala. I would gladly take back a Foster with Green Cats.
